Want to stay in palaces, castles and heritage monuments in Spain?

The Paradores are heritage monuments now converted to accommodations owned by the Spanish Government to use quality tourism to act as guardian of the national and artistic heritage of Spain and to assist regions with fewer economic resources. The Paradors are located on some of the most beautiful natural settings and surrounded by unique historic and artistic ensemble of monuments. They provide  luxury accommodation in Castles, Palaces, Fortresses, Convents, Monasteries and other historic buildings and in some cases modern buildings overlooking the historic areas of the city.

There is no better way to enjoy Spain's charm, rich history, culture and wonderful cuisine, than to experience the Paradores of Spain.

Either the building or the location is spectacular and, if you have not already stayed at these hotels, you will find a very pleasant surprise waiting for you.

What Visitor’s Say

Parador : Baiona

This is one of our favorite Paradors. Since we had booked very early we were hoping for a room with a view of the harbor but we were not unhappy with a view of the beach area. We had forgotten how to access the lower path (at water level) from the Parador. We asked the concierge on duty to direct us and were not happy later to find out that a much shorter way existed than was originally pointed out to us. Perhaps a handout explaining the layout would be helpful.

Parador : Granada

This would be a perfect hotel if you had a swimming pool. The weather was very hot while we were in Granada and it would have been wonderful to cool off in a pool. Regarding the restaurant: Breakfast was very good. We ate dinner there one night and thought it could have been much better. In relation to the rest of our experience at the Parador the food was the only area that needed improvement. The waiters were great.

Parador : Mojacar

Beautiful beachside location. Fabulous pool. Excellent breakfast. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Parador : Leon - Hostal De San Marcos

It is a beautiful hotel with friendly, efficient staff, and we would definitely stay here again. We liked our room in the older section, and also appreciated the plentiful free parking right on the property. The bountiful, delicious breakfast was the best of any of the hotels where we stayed during our two weeks in Spain.

Parador : Avila

I think everyone at this parador was very helpful and friendly. We liked our room. The kitchen was not as creative but we had a good experience.
